Using the File Selection Feature

Another one of CompuHost's unique features is the "File Selection Dialog". This dialog is used to select files when necessary, such as selecting Audio Files for the FillerTunes Player, selecting VideoBits/AudioBits files etc.

Depending on the type of file you're looking for (Image, Audio, Playlist etc.), unique functionality is made available.

InstaFolder Buttons
CompuHost's unique InstaFolder feature is an extremely convenient "Time-Saver" when selecting files from differing folders.
You may configure/customize your own InstaFolder buttons by simply "Dragging" the desired folder from the Folder List to the desired InstaFolder button.
Once configured, simply click the InstaFolder button to quickly move to the configured folder!

File Search
CompuHost makes it easy to quickly locate a file or files by offering "File Search" capabilities.

First navigate to the desired folder.

Enter the desired Search Text (A), the Search Text will be matched to ALL files that contain ALL of the Search Words in the Filename.. This is great for narrowing your search. Ex: Entering "My Way Sinatra" will locate the file, "My Way - Sinatra, Frank.mp3", however will NOT locate "My Way - Presley, Elvis.mp3"

You may search ALL subfolders (under the selected folder) by simply activating the "Recursive Search" option.

Image Preview
When selecting Image Files (JPG, GIF, BMP etc.), a convenient Image Preview window is available that displays the selected Image onscreen!


Multiple Selections
Where applicable, you may make multiple file selections by…

CTRL Key: Holding down the CTRL key while selecting the desired files.

SHIFT Key: Allows for selecting multiple CONSECUTIVE files. Select the FIRST desired file and the hold DOWN then SHIFT key while selecting the LAST desired File. All files between the FIRST and LAST files will automatically be selected.

CTRL-A: Select any file in the list and hold DOWN your CTRL key while clicking the "A" key. This will select ALL files in the list.
